Welcome to NewVIc Alumni & Friends Association

After graduating, the NewVIc Alumni & Friends Association provides you with invaluable support and help keep you connected to each other and your college.

Your relationship with NewVIc is very important. We’re passionate about building a lasting sense of pride and community amongst our alumni. We hope the relationship you have with your sixth form college is important to you too.

As an alumnus you could be eligible to receive a whole host of benefits and communications, including our termly newsletter and invitations to alumni reunions, speaker events, networking opportunities and social activities.

Our communications will sometimes include details about fundraising campaigns. These can be a real force for good. By giving to fundraising appeals, you and your fellow alumni have helped to ensure provide bursaries, so that students from disadvantaged backgrounds can access support.

  • Careers and Employability - our careers advisor can help you develop a career doing what you love with workshops, advice, job opportunities and more.

  • Professional Development - if you are interested in working with children or an aspiring teacher, attend one of our staff training days and receive free training courses.

You can inspire other NewVIc students and give talent a chance to shine with:

  • Career Talks - share valuable experiences and advice with current students. Speak about your journey from college to your career at careers sessions and Open Days.

  • Mentoring - for just two hours a month you can help prepare a student for their future career. You’ll get full training and it’s a really good way to develop your leadership skills.

  • Work Experience - inspire students by providing work shadowing and work experience opportunities.
