Adiba

Meet NewVIc student and Marketing Officer Adiba. Adiba is currently in her second year studying Level 3 Health and Social Care. She is also an active Student Ambassador. We caught up with Adiba to find out a little more.

Why did you choose to go for your Student Union role?

I chose to take this role because I want to learn new things about marketing. I want to learn and develop my leadership, I want to learn to be creative and encourage students at NewVIc to join in the variety of events and activities which are available to them all.

What do you enjoy about being a student at NewVIc?

I enjoy being a student at NewVIc because I can join in so many different sports activities (as many that fit into my weekly timetable) and being part of many leadership opportunities. I have learned to be more confident in myself by participating in lots of the student development programme events. I also love meeting new people and making new friends. I have made many friends at the college.

What would you like to improve with your role?

With my role I would like to improve my creativity and organisation skills. I would also like to improve the marketing strategy of the NewVIc Union.

What is your favourite food?

I love a biryani - there are so many types of biryani, a traditional food from my heritage. I also love a pizza!

What would be your superpower and why?

My superpower would be to have the ability to sense when someone needs saving and kept safe from any form of danger. Sounds hard, but I always like to make sure my friends, families and student peers are all safe and healthy.
