Health (Midwifery or Adult Nursing Pathway)
T LEVEL (NCFE)
This is a 2 year course equivalent to 3 A Levels and includes 9 weeks minimum working with an employer on an industry placement.
If you are enthusiastic about caring for and helping people, you will find this course challenging and interesting. If you want to work with people, this qualification will provide you with the knowledge and skills which are essential for this type of career. During the two year programme, you will develop the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of health occupations.

A minimum of 5 GCSEs (average score of 4)
These must include:
English Language at grade 4
Maths at grade 4
Students currently taking a Level 2 Certificate will need a minimum of a Merit in a related subject.
You will also be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS). It will be administered by the college at the start of the course. The cost is £20 (non-refundable).

The Health and Child Studies team have published research on topics education and child development and have professional experience in a range of industries including lecturing at universities, nursery management and care home management.
Outside of college, members of the Health and Child Studies team teach yoga, run marathons and take care of allotments.
The Leisure, Tourism and Sports team are leading the way in pioneering the use of technology in the classroom and have been working with Google to make teaching and assessment more interactive.
Outside of college, many members of the Leisure, Tourism and Sports team are involved in volunteering and love to travel around the world to learn more about different aspects of tourism.

This course is suitable for anyone wanting a career in health and healthcare. Students can progress into roles such as Ambulance Care Assistant, Emergency Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Care Worker, Palliative Care Assistant, Dental Nurse.
Students can also use this T Level to progress to university or a related higher-level apprenticeship.
