Travel and Tourism
LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA
This is a two-year course and equivalent to 3 A Levels.
Why do most countries invest so much in their Travel and Tourism industry? This sector is one of the fastest growing in the world and provides more than 250 million jobs worldwide. If you want to be a part of this exciting industry, then this is the subject for you. Through work experience and visits you will learn about the skills required for work in this industry; gaining insight and understanding of this varied and interesting sector.

+ Entry requirements
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (average score of 4)
These must include:
- English Language or Maths at grade 4
Students currently taking a Level 2 vocational course will need a minimum of a Merit in a related subject.

Expert practitioners
Various members of the Leisure, Tourism and Sports teams have played to a competitive level in selective sports, there is even an ex-footballer within the sports team. Staff also have extensive experience working in the aviation industry.
The Leisure, Tourism and Sports team are leading the way in pioneering the use of technology in the classroom and have been working with Google to make teaching and assessment more interactive.
Outside of college, many members of the Leisure, Tourism and Sports team are involved in volunteering and love to travel around the world to learn more about different aspects of tourism.

Following successful completion of this course, many of our students progress to univeristy to study courses such as International Tourism Management, Business Management or Hospitality and Events Management.
