LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA (UAL)

This is a two-year course and equivalent to 3 A Levels.

Our media course offers you the opportunity to develop theoretical and practical skills needed for the creative media industries. On this full-time course you will work on a variety of practical projects including animation, design, music videos, advertising production, filmmaking, TV production and photography, as well as completing theory units such as research and film studies.

  • create a range of Digital Media solutions through a variety of projects

  • make posters, title sequences, animations and web pages

  • research current industry practices and visit TV studios and screenings

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (average score of 4)

    These must include:

    • English Language or Maths at grade 4

    Students currently taking a Level 2 vocational course will need a minimum of a Merit in a related subject.

    PROFESSIONAL WORKSPACE

    You can expect to work in the dedicated Media-Suite using MACs that have specific media and design software. You will have access to up-to-date camera and filming equipment as well as enjoy the use of various editing suites to master your projects.
