LEVEL 2 (UAL)

This is a full time programme which is studied over one year.

Our media course offers you the opportunity to develop theoretical and practical skills needed for further study in this field. You will learn through a series of practical projects in film, photography, design and journalism using industry standard hardware and software.

  • Successful completion of a broad range of GCSEs

    These must include:

    • English Language or Maths at grade 3

    • one other related subject at grade 3

    All students on a Level 2 course will also be studying towards GCSE Maths and or English if they have a grade 3 or below at GCSE.

    PROFESSIONAL WORKSPACE

    You can expect to work in the dedicated Media-Suite using MACs that have specific media and design software. You will have access to up-to-date camera and filming equipment as well as enjoy the use of various editing suites to master your projects.

  • Most students completing the Level 2 Creative Media course will progress to the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology, which is equivalent to three A Levels while others may move on to apprenticeships or other training schemes.
