Meet NewVIc student and Student Union Sport and Physical Activity Officer Prudence. Prudence is a former Dagenham Park School student and is currently in her second year studying Level 3 Information Technology. We caught up with Prudence to find out a little more.

Why did you choose to go for your Student Union role?

I want to make a difference everywhere I go. I have always wanted to be something greater and I enjoy exploring different things, I also enjoy doing sports and keeping healthy. I want to be more confident when speaking in public and I want to overcome my insecurities and be a more experienced student leader for my peers.

What do you enjoy about being a student at NewVIc?

I enjoy studying at NewVIc. My teachers are great and I was surprised of the vast amount of sports and enrichment activities available for all students. 

What would you like to improve with your role?

With my role, I would like to see more trips for students at the college. I want to provide more opportunities for the athletes at NewVIc. The college already has some great sporting talents and I would like to bring more options for their development and progression.

What is your favourite food?

My favourite food is noodles with egg!

What would be your superpower and why?

My superpower would be to a magician. Magic will allow me to do anything. Who doesn’t want to be able to do everything?
