Unique ways your brain can enjoy studying

Fun techniques for home-study periods

Self-study. Something every student must do throughout their school and college life and is now more important than ever before in these uncertain times.

Now that most of you are studying at home, here is a good way to use some of your own exciting learning methods to keep your brain interested and enjoy the home-study experience along the way.

Discover your learning style

Before you get started it is important to know the type of learner you are. This will help you find more useful ways to remember relevant information and execute your knowledge with confidence.

What Kind Of Learner Are You?

10 unique ways to stimulate your brain

1. Rap it

Create a short and snappy rap, lyric or poem to help you remember key information and turn an otherwise dull subject to exciting topics to study. You can record your performance and play it back. A great method for audio learners.

4. Post-its

Write notes on post-its and stick them in different places, including your mirrors, inside of your cupboard, bathroom tiles, your jacket pocket, pencil case, books and bedside lamp. These healthy little reminders should help to jog your memory during final assignments or coursework without the need to go back to the start of the topic and learn it all over again.

5. Make a Video

Create a video or recording to aid your studies in a fun and creative way. You can do this on your mobile, computer, laptop, ipad or tablet for this. You’ll find that there are plenty of ways to learn other than writing and using your editing skills will be a fun way to engage your brain. You may also want to share these with your friends.

A physically creative way to memorise information. Each move can be associated with a different subject or topic and although you may not be able to spontaneously get up and bust your moves in the middle of an exam, the fact that you have used this method will strengthen your memory.

Allow your body to re-set and go to sleep on time

Although most of you are at home, it’s still important to look after your self, not feel too stressed or exhausted. Taking charge of your own well-being is just as important. It’s true that you are most productive, alert and engaged when you have a good night’s sleep so ensure that you give your body and mind a long break each night.
