Safeguarding and Welfare Advisers

Whilst at NewVIc you may occasionally find difficulties which prevent you from committing yourself 100% to your studies. These could be personal, emotional, family, health or financial problems in or outside of college. This is when you may need help and advice from our Safeguarding and Welfare Advisers. All matters are dealt with confidentially.

The adviser is able to offer advice and guidance on:

  • housing/homelessness
  • finance and benefits
  • immigration issues
  • health matters
  • personal issues

If there is something that the adviser cannot help you with they will always be able to refer you to an external agency that will be able to provide practical support.
