LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA

This is a two-year course and equivalent to 3 A Levels.

If you are enthusiastic about caring for and helping people, you will find this course challenging and interesting. If you want to work with people, this qualification will provide you with the knowledge and skills which are essential for this type of career.

You will

  • attend two two-week work placements in both elderly and early years care settings

+ Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSEs (average score of 4)

These must include:

  • English Language or Maths at grade 4

Students currently taking a Level 2 vocational course will need a minimum of a Merit in a related subject.

You will also be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS). It will be administered by the college at the start of the course. The cost is £20 (non-refundable).

On completion you will be able to progress to university to study Youth Work, Nursing and other health-related subjects at degree level.
