Are you unsure what to do next? Do you wish you could start again and get some qualifications? If so, then this is the course for you. You will develop a package of skills and gain qualifications which will prepare you for a higher level course at college or work. With lots of support on hand, you will find learning enjoyable and receive lots of help planning your next steps.

There are no formal qualifications required
Students should be working at the higher end of Entry Level 3 for Literacy.

Foundation Learning is a team made up of specialist teachers with years of experience working with and supporting young adults in education. Our Inclusive Learning team will also support you with your individual learning needs. Classes are small and are supported by specialist learning support practitioners who provide group support in lessons and at break. Where necessary they are also able to take care of any personal needs.

Integrated and included

Foundation Learning students are integrated and included within all aspects of college life. We also offer specific clubs and enrichment activities for students with disabilties such as connect club and an ability counts sports programme.

High expectations

We challenge students and have high expectations for students who have never had high expectations from others. We also offer in house internships for students in areas such as customer service, sport leadership and gardening.

Holistic approach

We support and nuture the whole person through both tutoring and teaching.
